Consultant, Cloud Security

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Consultant, Cloud Security at HTS Consulting. The Consultant will ensure the security of cloud environments, implement best practices, and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness of the latest cloud security threats and best practices.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to implement and maintain cloud security measures.

  • Support internal and external security audits and assessments.

  • Prepare and maintain cloud security documentation.

  • Conduct regular security reviews and risk assessments of cloud infrastructure.

  • Develop and implement cloud security policies and procedures.

  • Provide guidance and training to staff on cloud security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security roles.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to build and implement effective cloud security programs.

  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

  • Good understanding of cloud security frameworks and standards such as CSA, NIST, and ISO 27017.

  • Experience in conducting cloud security audits and assessments.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

Key Activities:

  • ​Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.

  • Stay updated with the latest security trends and vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborate with development teams to implement security best practices.

  • Prepare detailed security reports and documentation.

  • This role typically involves one-time testing of cloud security measures.

  • For managed services, it includes occasional reviews and support with best practices.

  • Continuous self-updating and refining methodologies are crucial.

  • There are no specific daily or weekly activities required.​​​​​
